As early as 1830, Oxford University students began defining a coach as, “a tutor who carries a student through an exam.” Today, a business “coach” may be classified by similar terms, “a guide that carries leaders forward to reach their goals.” As a guide, a coach establishes focus, creates perspective, and advocates next steps, yet it is up to the leader to truly develop and make lasting changes. Building trusted leaders doesn’t stop once compiling survey data has ended. With the completion of a Work Effects Revolution 360TM survey assessment and help by management to establish an action plan, it is often valuable to have these leaders work closely with a coach to put those plans into action. Utilizing the guidance of a knowledgeable coach can be invaluable as a leader reviews their 360 report. Skilled coaches offer an objective point-of-view, a new way of thinking, a light of encouragement, and the necessary accountability for reaching goals. Work Effects has a large, global network of coaches, most with over 20+ years of experience. These thought-leaders have a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences coaching mid- to senior-level management.
