Organizational dynamics are complex and ever changing. At the forefront of this environment are leaders that can make or break an organization's success. The old cliché' that leaders are born isn't correct. Work Effects believes that leaders can be built by honing their existing traits needed to be successful.

Work Effects has found that there are five core traits to building trusted leaders called BASICTM virtues. If these are practiced by a leader, and in-turn exist in the organization they lead, the leader will thrive:

  1. Beneficial Partnerships - the leader's capacity to foster collaborative relationships. To collaborate is to "co-labor" and work in an interdependent fashion to achieve common ends.

  2. Aligned Emotions - the leader's emotional maturity including knowing one's passions, wants and needs, and the emotional states of followers.

  3. Sustained Determination - the inner strength to initiate action in the face of obstacles, not shrink in the face of resistance, and to sustain momentum in the face of adversity.

  4. Intellectual Flexibility - the capacity to see adapt to the world accurately with the help of others.

  5. Character - one's moral integrity, which is the inner strength to live in accordance with high moral standards.

Based on analysis of over 400 leadership models, The Work Effects 4-R Model of Transformational Leadership (4-R), takes the popular tasks/behaviors view of traditional leadership models and turns them on their head by identifying the core foundations of leadership: relationships, roles, responsibilities and results. A simple yet powerful way to develop the transformational leaders within an organization, 4-R is structured in the following way:

  1. Revolution 360TM - Unlike typical assessments, this 360 provides leaders with valuable feedback about their core virtues, their cascading impact they have, identifies the source of their real strengths and pinpoints specific areas to prioritize for further development.
